Westfield Parks & Rec. Horse CampSpend time on the farm experience feeding, grooming, and all maintenance associated with horses. Participants will experience the brushing, tacking, saddling and cleaning of hoses. Each camp day includes 30 minute group riding lesson.

High Meadow Day Camp LessonsOur goal is to give your child a broad knowledge of horses and horseback riding. We aim to teach children that horses are fun and a responsibility. Group lessons are offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. Your child will ride with the same age group that they are in at High Meadow.
Each week your child will participate in three riding lessons and one ground lesson. In riding lessons, your child will learn all aspects of of horseback riding including steering, posture, balance, and control. In ground lessons, your child will learn brushing and tacking, emergency dismounting, horse bathing, and even horse painting! Safety is our first concern and we want to ensure that the children are have a fun learning experience while be safe. Trail riding lessons will also be offered to some students based on their age and progress. We provide all the equipment necessary including helmets. You're welcome to have your child bring their own helmet at your expense. Requirements:
Sign ups can be for one week or the whole summer. You can sign up for select weeks they do not need to be in a consecutive order. Due to high demand, AJ Stables will be hosting a Family Horse Camp this year!
Enjoy Family Day with your little ones on the farm learning everything that goes into caring for the horses. This experience includes feeding, watering, grooming, barn care, tacking, riding, and more! *Camp includes a 30-minute riding lesson for both the family members and child in a group setting. We do have a 210lb weight limit for riding for the safety of riders and horses but do not let that discourage you from joining us. There are plenty of other activities to do besides riding! There is no age limit for adults, grandma and grandpa are invited too! There can be multiple adults per child and/or multiple children per adult. Children age: 5-15 yrs Time: 9am -12 pm Please bring a snack, water bottle, closed toe shoes, and long pants. Camp will run rain or shine. There will be plenty of time for pictures for all the special moments that make this day special.
